Rahl is a directory for inquiring about the deceased buried in the cemeteries of the city of Buraidah, operating under the Qassim Region Municipality — Department for Equipping and Supervising Cemeteries. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your data. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use and protect it.

Data We Collect

The app's core function is searching for the deceased. Depending on your use, we may collect:

• Contact info: name, phone number, and email — when you use the "Contact us" or support form.
• Location: approximate and precise device location to show a grave's location within the cemetery on the map and guide you to it.
• Messages: the content of messages and inquiries you send through the app.
• Photos: any images you choose to attach when contacting us or submitting a request.
• Device & notification data: a push notification token and basic technical information to run the app and send alerts.
• Usage & diagnostics: crash and performance reports to improve stability.

Note: the deceased records shown in the app are provided by the supervising authority (Qassim Region Municipality) and are not personal data of the app's user.

How We Use Your Data

• To operate the search service and show grave locations.
• To respond to your inquiries and provide support.
• To send service-related notifications.
• To improve performance and fix crashes.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data and do not share it for advertising. Limited data may be shared only with the supervising authority or with service providers that help us operate the app (such as maps, notifications, and crash reporting), as needed or where legally required.

Third-Party Services

• Google Maps — to display and navigate to grave locations.
• Google Firebase — for notifications and crash reporting.

Tracking & Advertising

The app shows no ads, does not use your data to track you across third-party apps or websites, and does not share data with data brokers or ad networks. Accordingly, the app does not request the App Tracking Transparency ("Allow Tracking") permission on Apple devices.

App Permissions

• Location (while in use only): optional — used solely to guide you to a grave's location on the map. You can decline it and continue using search fully.
• Notifications: optional — for service alerts; can be disabled in device settings at any time.
• Photos/Files: the app accesses photos only when you actively choose to attach one.

All permissions are optional and revocable from your device settings without losing access to the core search feature.

• All data is encrypted in transit over HTTPS/TLS.

Apple App Store Privacy

• The app performs no "tracking" as defined by the App Tracking Transparency framework.
• The data types disclosed on the app's store page match this policy.
• Location data is used in real time to render the map and is not stored in a profile linked to your identity.

Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data from unauthorized access or use. However, no method of transmission over the internet can be guaranteed 100% secure.

Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your contact data as needed to provide the service and respond to your inquiries. You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing us at the address below; we will process the request within a reasonable period in line with applicable law.

Data Deletion

Rahl does not require an account. If you previously sent us data (contact form, messages, photos), you can request permanent deletion as follows:

1. Email [email protected] with the subject "Data Deletion Request".
2. Include the phone number or email address you used when contacting us.
3. We will confirm receipt and complete the deletion within 30 days.

You may also revoke location and notification permissions from your device settings at any time.

Your Rights

• Access the data we hold about you and request a copy.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request permanent deletion of your data.
• Withdraw consent to any optional processing at any time.

We handle these requests in line with the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) and other applicable regulations.

The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
